This event is for Ladies 18+ of ALL LEVELS, from those who have never sat on a dirt bike before to those ready to hit the advanced trails and learn elite skills from pro-racer, Rachel Gutish! Like all our events, we’ll have riding, camping, lessons, games, raffle and MORE!
Check out what’s included with your Event Ticket! (More details further below):
Two days riding on HHR’s renowned property. We’ll have marked trails for all skill levels - the easier ones being wider, flatter and shorter (3 miles) while the more advanced loops will be 10-15 miles of single-track, tight and twisty, off-camber woods. The entire woods area is speckled with extreme trail features, each with an ability to bypass. There are also hard enduro obstacles to be used in training sessions with Rachel Gutish! Learn more here.
Two nights ladies-only dry camping on HHR’s private property. Camp in your tent, car, truck or RV (hookups not available). Save 15% on an RV Rental from Joyride RV Rentals in Springfield, MO with code OVERANDOUTMOTO. They can deliver!

She’ll pick out some things on the trail and explain what she sees and how she’d approach it on a bike. FAQs
Who can attend this event? Ladies only, ages 18+ who have a ticket to the event, as well as Male or other riders, ages 18+, invited by a female ticket-holder. NO SPECTATORS. Non Ticket-Holders are not allowed to stop by, visit, or stay and hang out for any portion of the event. Ticket-holders are the ONLY ones allowed to enter and remain on site, as per our insurance rules and agreements.
Do I need to have a motorcycle license to attend? You don't need a motorcycle license to attend the event, or ride an off-road-only dirt bike.
Do I need my own bike to attend? Generally, Yes, but the lessons with GPMX can be booked with FULL-DAY use of a class/loaner bike! Those bikes are all four-stroke trail bikes, ideal for new riders and fun for experienced riders alike. We have to grant them to class-holders first, and be sure you are capable of riding before turning anyone loose with these bikes, as they are costly to own and maintenance.
What kind of motorcycles can be ridden at this event? For new and novice riders, we recommend you take a lesson with one of the class bikes, or bring a smaller 4-stroke trail bike under 150cc. For woods riders, we recommend any trail or dirt bike that has full dirt (knobby) tires and we recommend a maximum of 300cc. These trails are rocky, somewhat technical (with options) and at times tight. If you have a smaller dual sport and want to take a lesson with GPMX that is welcome also - recommended max 350cc with 80/20 tires or more aggressive. Again, these bikes won’t be ideal for the most advanced of trails, but can get by on the grass and easier marked trail. Lower cc engines are ideal for this terrain. You can also bring mini bikes, and please do because we will have some mini games!!
Will there be any lessons? Yes! There’s no better way to get started than with lessons at a super fun weekend event where you can make new riding friends! Lessons cost an additional fee, but we work with our lesson partners to offer special prices at our big campouts. You must have an Event Ticket to book lessons or participate in riding activities.
Why doesn’t my ticket include lessons or rentals? It’s MUCH easier to let everyone book a la cart. Some girls want to bring their own bikes and not take a lesson. So we offer the base event ticket, and you can add on options that suit your specific needs. The base ticket covers the land or facility rental, camping fees, facilities (things like porta-potties and trash!), insurance, permits, and everything else it takes to create an amazing space and experience for ladies only.Add-On fees, like lessons and rental costs, go to our lesson and rental partners directly for their equipment, maintenance, expertise and time. Consider all your options and decide which is right for you!
What type of gear do I need? Dirt Bike helmets are required AT ALL TIMES when riding. Beginners, on grass only: Dirt helmets, gloves, protective boots that cover the ankle. Anyone riding In the Woods: Full-face dirt helmets, goggles, gloves, knee pads or braces, upper body protection (some combination of back, elbow, shoulder, arm as you prefer) and off-road riding/motocross boots. We recommend wearing as much protective gear as possible to keep you safe.
What if I don’t have my own gear? We recommend purchasing some from our incredible sponsors Fox, REV’IT, Revzilla and others. This is the safest and most hygienic option. Looking for recommendations? Ask the many members of our community in our Facebook Group!
Will there be mechanical support? First, it is your responsibility to bring a well-functioning, safe vehicle to ride. Do not bring a broken bike and expect event staff to get it running. Have your bike looked over by a mechanic at least a month before the event. That being said, we will have general mechanical support available on site thanks to our team, HHR volunteers and Bonecutters dealership!
What is the camping area like? Camping with a ton of like-minded ladies is always a blast! There is one big area for parking and dry camping. Attendees may camp in RVs, cars, trucks or set up tents. There are no hookups, and no showers or running water. There will be porta-potties on site, and we always bring extra TP for yas! You can also rent an RV and have it delivered from Joyride RV Rentals in Springfield, MO. If you wish to not stay onsite, you may come and go from your own AirBnb, hotel and such. Check out this post for a list of local places to stay.
What if I get to the area early, or am staying in the area after the event? Attendees are only allowed on site between gates opening on Friday at 3pm and gates closing on Sunday at 2pm. You will have to find another place to stay for other nights. Our ladies-only camping zone must be empty by 2pm on Sunday as per our land agreement and travel plans.
Can I come ride the property some other time? If you become a member of Hardwood Hills Ranch you can come back to ride whenever you want!
What do I do with my campsite garbage? Please keep a trash bag at your camp site, take it with you when you go. This is standard practice, and not that inconvenient. Pack in-pack out and leave no trace. Please and thank you.
Will the event be cancelled in bad weather? Heck no, yo! The event will be held rain or shine. So much work goes into these events that we have to be fully committed, and we hope you are too. Any aspect within the event could be subject to cancellation in extreme weather for the safety of the riders. In extreme situations, we’ll evaluate and communicate in a timely manner via direct email to ticket-holders.
Will there be food? Yes, 5 meals are included with your ticket to this event! Since this event space is a little remote, we want to make sure you have meals and drinks on site. Meals are listed above and at the time of ticket-purchase you can enter any allergies or strict food preferences. You can also bring your own coolers and water to make sure you stay well-hydrated and nourished.
What can I bring? Bring everything you need for riding and camping comfortably including gear, extra gas, a battery pack for your phone, plenty of water, sunscreen and layers appropriate for the weather. Check out our standard packing list. Camp in an RV, car or truck or set up a tent - the choice is yours!
Is alcohol allowed? You may bring alcoholic beverages, but drinking alcohol is not allowed until riding is done for the entire day. You must be of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages, and we have a zero tolerance policy for under-age drinking, excessive drunkenness or even attempting to operate a motor vehicle while intoxicated at any level. Safety is our top priority.
What can’t I bring? No weapons of any kind, no fireworks, no promotional or marketing materials, no banners or overwhelming visual items, no items for sale, no unsolicited giveaways, no illegal substances, no pollutants, no individual fires. No inflammatory signage, apparel and so on. We expect all attendees and participants to conduct themselves responsibly, with integrity and respectful behavior, and to help ensure comfort and safety for all attendees. Our collective focus is on riding and having fun in an environment that is reasonably comfortable for all participants. Respect shared space; No bad attitudes!
Will any men be there? We have some male partners and support staff who are there to manage property tasks and assist with emergency situations, or are our coaches/rental providers. Any men involved with our event are strictly for safety and technical assistance. We protect the female-only socializing and bonding aspect of this event strongly.
What if I identify as a female or non-binary? If you genuinely feel like this female-focused event and the female riding community is the place for you, you belong here and we welcome you.
Can I hand out swag, take photos and videos, or sell things? No. We curate the experience for our attendees with contributions from sponsors we value and trust. We’re also dedicated to not turning OAO into a “meat market” of goods, promotions and sales attempts. We want our attendees to have a nice time without solicitation or distraction. Promotional photography is strictly prohibited. If you’d like to speak to OAO about sponsorship or media coverage opportunities, contact us.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Please read all the FAQs here first. If you still need help, use our contact form.
I bought a ticket but now can’t come. Can I transfer the name of the ticket to a friend? You must contact us to do this at least 14 days prior to the event. Please use our contact form. Payment must be arranged directly between you and your third party, Over And Out will not issue direct refunds. And because we will be traveling, all transfers must be done by the 14 day cutoff which is May 3rd, 2024.
What's the refund policy? NO REFUNDS.
