Enduro, Desert and ADV Training with Edgar Cota!

Every fall, we host our largest women’s off-road campout on thousands of private acres in Tamaqua, PA which boasts and unusually diverse array of terrain. From lush and loamy wooded single track, to technical rock gardens, to wide and sandy haul roads, the event space offers a little bit of everything and is a great place to work on riding technique!

We’re stoked to have coach Edgar Cota joining us on the East Coast for the first time, hosting a big variety of epic training sessions for female riders!

Meet Edgar Cota

Edgar Cota is a USMCA-certified coach who teaches enduro classes at our West Coast event. He also recently won the Baja 1000 Pro Moto Ironman class, having ridden solo for 38.5 hours straight, averaging 34 mph, on wild, rocky and sandy desert terrain to take the title.

He’s one of those people that is just a joy to be around! He’s all smiles, and makes learning fun. Not to mention he’s an insanely talented rider on just about any bike. Motocross, Dual Sport, ADV, Desert Racing, you name it! You don’t get a nickname like “The Mexican Tornado” for nothing!

Level Up Your Enduro Skills for Woods OR Desert Riding

In addition to Woods Enduro classes (think single track, log hops) this year we have Edgar hosting a Desert-focused enduro class that will use some of the sandier terrain onsite.

Do you dream of riding out west, doing LA Barstow to Vegas, or a Baja trip? Or maybe you want to dial in some sand techniques for South Jersey riding or a trip down South? Dial in proper body positioning and master proper bike handling to conquer sand and desert riding with Desert Enduro classes at OAO24.

Master Big Bike Skills with Dual Sport / ADV Sessions

Edgar is an extremely versatile coach and rider, handling just about any enduro, dual sport or ADV bike like a boss. And at 5’8” tall, he’s a fairly relatable size for someone like me to watch and absorb visual cues from. That’s definitely something I appreciate and leverage as a female rider.

The Dual Sport / ADV class for riders attending OAO with heavier dual sport or ADV bikes with on-road-off-road tires. These classes are for riders who already have off-road experience, have taken fundamental off-road courses and are seeking to level-up their skills for handling their heavier bike on grass, rocky roads, over small obstacles, and when navigating turnarounds or tricky positions out on a trail.

Ride At Night with the Baja 1000 Champ!

As we mentioned above, Edgar took the Ironman class at the Baja 1000 after riding 38.5 hours straight through gnarly desert terrain! He’s no stranger to a thrilling night ride, and he’ll be rolling out with us on Friday evening of the event for our Friday the 13th Night Ride!

Don’t miss out on booking a session with Edgar - he is the BEST and it’ll be an awesome experience to add to your off-road riding journey!
