Beginners: Learn to Ride with The Dirt Bike Academy

YOU: You’re new to motorcycling or off-road motorcycling. You’ve either never been on any kind of motorcycle at all, or maybe you have been a couple times, but not enough to have smooth confident abilities with the controls, shifting, braking, and you’ve never been taught proper off-road body position or technique. You still fumble/have trouble with shifting smoothly and using all controls adequately. Upon purchasing an event ticket, you likely rated yourself as a level 1 or 2 out of 5.

CLASS DESCRIPTION: The beginner dirt bike class with MSF-certified coach Jeff Ufberg of The Dirt Bike Academy is a roughly 6-hour small-group session that includes the use of a novice-friendly bike, and requires minimal gear. Bikes from the DBA fleet are Honda novice-friendly 4-stroke trail bikes, and will be assigned based on height and weight. You need to have a DOT-approved helmet, gloves, boots that cover the ankle, long sleeves and long pants. These items do not have to be dirt-specific riding gear.

This class follows the Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s dirt bike program, teaching off-road body position, the basic controls, shifting, braking and core off-road techniques. Whether you want to progress to become a better off-road rider, or you just want to become a better motorcycle rider overall, this is the BEST way to get started, meet other ladies who ride, and have a ton of fun!

PRICING AND SCHEDULE: This class is priced at $375 at our events (Regularly $425, discounted in consideration of the General Admission ticket price!) and includes the use of a bike! This class is offered 12am-6pm on Friday and 10am-4pm on Saturday of the event.

Novice to Intermediate, and Dual Sport Riders: Next Level with GPMX

YOU: You have ridden motorcycles or a dirt bike, and understand how to operate the controls, but have fairly limited off-road experience or you are on a dual sport with on-road-off-road tires. You generally ride wider two-track or ATV trails, while rocks, roots and tight single-track are still a bit foreign and make you nervous; clutch and throttle control still needs some work, and hills (either up or down) are really intimidating. You are not yet comfortable riding at higher speeds, performing quick braking or finding traction on climbs or navigating technical terrain.

Upon purchasing an event ticket, you likely rated yourself as a level 2 or 3 out of 5.

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Take your riding skills to the next level with USMCA-certified coach Greg Pamart of GPMX. The GPMX class is a roughly 6-hour group session that can be booked either including the use of a novice-friendly bike, or your own bike or dual sport. GPMX will help you really dial in body positioning and fundamental techniques like clutch work, shifting, braking and more, and have you doing drills out on our novice-to-intermediate friendly trails, coaching as you go.

Bikes from the GPMX fleet are Yamaha or Kawasaki novice-friendly 4-stroke trail bikes, and will be assigned based on height and weight. You need to have a full-face off-road helmet, goggles, gloves, off-road/motocross boots, pants and jersey.

PRICING AND SCHEDULE: This class is priced at $375 with the use of a bike for the full day, and $200 without a bike (using your own bike). This class is offered 12am-6pm on Friday and 10am-4pm on Saturday of the event.

Intermediate to Advanced Riders: Training Sessions With DIRTASTIC!

YOU: You ride regularly and can’t get enough woods trails, single track, rocks, roots and more! You can safely and successfully operate all controls at least most of the time, but you’d love to ride with more confidence, have an easier time getting through technical terrain, and learn crucial trail riding skills like getting over logs and obstacles!

Upon purchasing an event ticket, you likely rated yourself as a level 3 or higher out of 5.

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Each participant will get a full 3 hour session, working with three (yes, we said THREE) of DIRTASTIC’S female coaches! You’ll be in a small group of up to 6 riders, and rotate between 3 crucial training segments: Hills, Logs/Obstacles, and Cornering.

These sessions are not for beginners, novice riders or dual sports. You must use your own bike, and it must be an off-road bike with full knobby tires, recommended max 350cc. Gear requirements: Full face dirt helmet, goggles, off-road riding boots, pants and jersey, knee pads or braces and a combination of additional protective pads for chest, back, shoulder and/or elbow.

PRICING AND SCHEDULE: Choose from 3 different session times: Friday 12-3pm, Saturday 9am-12pm or Saturday 1-4pm, at an astoundingly special rate of $200/rider.

BONUS: Ladies who register for these classes will be offered a special bonus add-on class called “Party Tricks” for just $50 that will focus on those top techniques we all want to learn like wheelies, pivot turns and more! Book soon, because it’s first-come, first served!
