Meet Vicki Golden

Get to know Vicki, who, in her 28 years on Earth, has accomplished more on a motorcycle than any other woman in the history of two wheels, and accomplished things no other motocross athlete – male or female – has ever done before!

Vicki Golden grew up in a town just east of San Diego, CA, and when she got into riding off-road at a young age, she got her start riding a little Honda XR50 on San Diego's tough, hilly terrain rather than well-groomed and prepped tracks (so many of you ladies who ride trails and enduro here on the east coast can easily imagine what this did for Vicki’s riding abilities!)

Vicki’s life and career riding motorcycles has been filled with history-making achievements:

  • By age 16, Vicki shot up the amateur ranks of motocross, raced the Loretta Lynn’s Amateur Motocross National Championships in Tennessee and won the Women’s Amateur National Champion title in 2008.

  • Three years later, she earned her first gold medal at the Women's Moto X Racing in the Summer X Games. In addition to her domination of the women’s division, she was also the first woman to compete in a freestyle Moto X competition at the X Games. She took home the bronze medal for Best Whip, beating out most of the best men in the sport..

  • In 2014, Vicki was nominated for the ESPY's Best Female Action Sports Athlete award.

  • Vicki continued to break even more barriers when she became the first woman to qualify for an AMA Arenacross Main Event, and then became the first woman to qualify for a Monster Energy Supercross night program!

  • In 2019, she (literally) smashed through 13 flaming wooden walls on live television in “Evel Live 2”, breaking a 12-year-old world record and achieving a feat that even renowned stuntman Evel Knievel didn’t complete.

  • In her video for the 2020 X Games Real Moto competition, she became the first woman to land a no-hands front flip.

We’re super stoked to have Monster Energy athlete, Vicki Golden, joining us at Over And Out Moto-X this June!

“It’s huge to have the support of [Monster Energy]. They don’t just focus on action sports in the U.S, they do it around the world, and represent our sport so well. They do so much for us; Every athlete is works and strives to be a part of the Monster Energy team.” Vicki has said. And we couldn’t agree more.

We have major thanks to extend to Monster Energy for sending Vicki to hang out with us at OAOMX!

Vicki will be there to ride and hang out with all of us ladies, and give some pointers and encouragement while we all hit the track together. After track hours you can grab a signed hero card or a photo with Vicki too! (Ticket holders only)

We can’t wait to ride with Vicki, and we can’t wait to ride with YOU!
